Press Brake Financing
Metal Fabrication, Welding & Machine Shops › Press Brakes
A press brake is the machine that turns flat sheet and plate into finished parts: brackets, channels, enclosures, panels and frames. Since 2011, Sunset Financial Group has financed more than 100 press brakes for fabrication shops, machine shops and manufacturers, from 24-ton pneumatic machines to 300-ton, 12-foot hydraulic brakes.
Whether you are replacing a worn-out machine, adding a second brake or bringing outsourced bending back in-house, we can finance the brake, its tooling and everything it takes to get it running.
Press Brakes We Finance
CNC Press Brakes
A CNC control and programmable back gauge store bend programs and position the part automatically, so complex parts come out the same every time, even with a newer operator.
Most of the new press brakes we finance are CNC.
Hydraulic Press Brakes
Hydraulic cylinders drive the ram with full tonnage anywhere in the stroke. These are the workhorses of most fab shops, from 60-ton general-purpose machines to 300-ton plate brakes.
NC & Manual Hydraulic Brakes
Simpler controls and a manual or single-axis back gauge keep the price down, making these a popular first press brake for welding and repair shops.
Compact & Pneumatic Press Brakes
Air-powered and benchtop-size brakes handle light-gauge parts in a small footprint, ideal for sign shops, HVAC contractors and short runs.
Used & Rebuilt Press Brakes
Proven older machines from established builders often sell for a fraction of new. We finance used brakes from dealers, auctions and private sellers.
Electric & Servo Press Brakes
Servo-electric brakes offer fast, quiet, energy-efficient bending with no hydraulic oil to maintain.
Sizes We Have Financed
Light Gauge
24 to 40 tons, 4 to 8 foot beds
Brackets, small enclosures, HVAC and sign parts. Often pneumatic or compact hydraulic.
General Fabrication
65 to 135 tons, 8 to 13 foot beds
The most common range for welding and fab shops: channels, gussets, panels and frames in sheet and light plate.
Heavy Plate
155 to 300 tons, 10 to 13 foot beds
Thick plate, long parts and structural work, usually with CNC back gauges, support arms and light curtains.
Not sure what size you need? Your equipment dealer can match tonnage and bed length to your material and part length, and we will finance what they recommend.
Finance the Whole Setup
A press brake is only as good as its tooling and safety equipment. These can all be included in the same agreement:
- Punches, dies and 4-way die sets
- CNC controls and programmable back gauges
- Light curtains, palm controls and other safety equipment
- Front support arms and die rails
- Freight, rigging and installation
- Training and setup
Why Shops Upgrade Their Press Brake
Bring Work Back In-House
Many of our customers were sending bending out to other shops. Their own brake shortens lead times and keeps that margin in the business.
Replace an Older, Smaller Machine
A newer, larger brake handles longer and thicker parts, turns jobs that took hours into minutes and ends constant repair bills.
Take On New Contracts
Shops with new contracts in hand finance a second brake to keep up with demand. Many tell us they expect the machine to pay for itself in under two years.
Recently Financed
155-Ton CNC Press Brake
A welding and fabrication shop added a new 155-ton, 13-foot CNC press brake with a 2-axis control and light curtain to keep up with new contracts.
300-Ton Plate Brake
A growing fabricator replaced an older, smaller machine with a new 300-ton, 12-foot hydraulic press brake, complete with tooling, support arms and safety package.
Used Brake at Auction
A sheet metal shop bought a used 65-ton press brake and hydraulic plate rolls at auction to replace older, smaller equipment.
Press brake makers we have financed include Accurpress, Amada, Atek, Baileigh, Betenbender, Cincinnati, Ermak, Piranha, Primeline and U.S. Industrial Machinery.
Press Brake Financing FAQ
Can I finance a used press brake?
Yes. We finance used press brakes from dealers, auctions and private sellers, as well as new machines.
Can tooling, a light curtain and freight be included?
Yes. Punches, dies, CNC controls, safety equipment, support arms, freight, rigging and installation can all be financed with the machine.
How much can I be approved for with just an application?
Up to $350,000 with our one-page application. Larger requests, such as heavy plate brakes, are welcome with financial statements.
What will my monthly payment be?
It depends on the price, term and your credit profile. Use our payment calculator for an estimate, or request a quote for exact numbers.
What terms are available?
Terms range from 12 to 84 months with fixed monthly payments. See our types of leases for $101 buyout, fair market value and other options.
