Fiber Laser Financing

Metal Fabrication, Welding & Machine Shops › Fiber Lasers

A fiber laser cuts sheet metal faster and more precisely than any other tool in the shop, and fiber lasers have come down in price enough that small shops can now own one. Since 2011, Sunset Financial Group has financed more than 500 laser systems, including more than 150 fiber lasers, from 50-watt marking machines to 6,000-watt, 5′ x 10′ cutting systems.

Our laser customers include fabrication and machine shops, manufacturers, sign makers, auto shops and specialty contractors. We finance the laser, the air system, the power equipment and installation in one agreement.

Lasers We Finance

Fiber Laser Cutters

Flatbed fiber lasers from 1.5 to 6 kW cut steel, stainless, aluminum, brass and copper sheet with clean edges and little finishing work.

Enclosed High-Power Systems

Fully enclosed, front-loading machines with exchange tables keep production running and meet stricter safety requirements.

Fiber + CO2 Combination Cutters

Dual-source machines cut metal with the fiber source and wood, acrylic and other non-metals with a CO2 tube.

Fiber Laser Markers

Compact 20- to 80-watt markers engrave serial numbers, logos and part data on metal parts, tools and promotional items.

Handheld Laser Welders

Fiber laser welders join thin metal faster than TIG, with less heat distortion and little cleanup.

CO2 Lasers & Engravers

CO2 lasers for cutting and engraving wood, acrylic, fabric, leather and other non-metals.

Sizes We Have Financed

Marking & Welding

20 to 80 watts and handheld welders

Part marking, engraving and laser welding. Most are compact and priced under $30,000.

Entry Cutting

1.5 to 3 kW, 4′ x 3′ to 10′ x 5′ beds

The most common fiber cutters we finance, cutting sheet and light plate for fab shops and manufacturers.

Production Cutting

3 to 6 kW and up, enclosed systems

Faster cutting in thicker plate, with enclosures, exchange tables and high-pressure air systems.

Laser systems we have financed range from about $5,000 for a desktop marker to $300,000 for a large production system.

Finance the Whole Setup

A fiber laser needs clean air and stable power to cut well. These can all be included in the same agreement:

  • Screw air compressors, dryers and filters for assist gas
  • Voltage regulators and transformers
  • Chillers and fume extraction
  • Nesting and CAD/CAM software
  • Exchange tables and rotary attachments
  • Freight, installation and onsite training

Why Shops Add a Fiber Laser

Bring Cut Parts In-House

Shops that were paying a laser service for cut parts make them on their own schedule and keep the margin.

Faster and Cleaner Than Plasma

Fiber lasers cut sheet metal at high speed with tight tolerances and little dross, so parts go straight to bending and welding.

Lower Running Costs

Fiber lasers use far less power than older CO2 cutters and need no mirrors or laser gas, which keeps hourly operating costs low.

Recently Financed

6 kW Fiber Laser System

A specialty trade contractor added a 6,000-watt, 5′ x 10′ fiber laser cutter with a 30-HP screw compressor.

Enclosed 3 kW Laser With Install

A welding shop financed a fully enclosed 3 kW, 5′ x 10′ fiber laser with an air compressor, professional installation and onsite training.

Fiber Laser Marker

An automotive repair shop financed a 50-watt fiber laser engraving and marking machine.

Laser makers we have financed include ACS, BOSS Laser, CAMFive, FlexMax, PPI and Stealth.

Fiber Laser Financing FAQ

Can I finance a laser from an overseas manufacturer?

Yes, in most cases. We regularly finance lasers sold through U.S. dealers and importers, including freight and installation.

Can the compressor, voltage regulator and installation be included?

Yes. Air compressors, dryers, voltage regulators, chillers, software, freight, installation and training can all be financed with the laser.

How much can I be approved for with just an application?

Up to $350,000 with our one-page application. Larger requests, such as high-power production systems, are welcome with financial statements.

What will my monthly payment be?

It depends on the price, term and your credit profile. Use our payment calculator for an estimate, or request a quote for exact numbers.

What terms are available?

Terms range from 12 to 84 months with fixed monthly payments. See our types of leases for $101 buyout, fair market value and other options.
