Box & Pan Brake Financing
Metal Fabrication, Welding & Machine Shops › Box & Pan Brakes
Box and pan brakes and sheet metal folders turn flat sheet into boxes, pans, trim, flashing, ductwork and enclosures. Since 2011, Sunset Financial Group has financed more than 125 sheet metal brakes and folders, from 6-foot manual finger brakes to 10-foot CNC folders with programmable back gauges.
Roofing and siding contractors, HVAC and sheet metal shops, sign makers, electrical contractors and manufacturers all rely on these machines. We finance the brake, the shear that goes with it and the setup in one agreement.
Brakes and Folders We Finance
Manual Box & Pan Brakes
Removable fingers let you form four-sided boxes and pans. A simple, durable first brake for roofing, HVAC and fabrication shops.
Heavy-Duty & Hydraulic Box & Pan Brakes
10-foot, 10- and 12-gauge capacity brakes with hydraulic or power clamping for thicker material and higher volume.
CNC Folders
Programmable folders bend complex trim, flashing and panels with the sheet lying flat, so one operator can run long parts accurately.
Power & Auto Folders
Hydraulic power folders with back gauges speed up repetitive bends without the cost of a full CNC system.
Sheet Metal & Wrap Brakes
Straight and wrap brakes for gutters, trim, coping and siding, from portable jobsite brakes to shop machines.
Used Brakes & Folders
We finance used brakes and folders from dealers, auctions and private sellers, as well as new machines.
Sizes We Have Financed
Light Gauge
4 to 8 feet, 16 to 14 gauge
Manual finger brakes for trim, small boxes, HVAC fittings and sign work.
Shop Standard
10 feet, 14 to 10 gauge
The most common size we finance. Heavy-duty manual and hydraulic box and pan brakes for full-length panels.
CNC Folding
10 to 13 feet and up
CNC and power folders for roofing, architectural metal and high-volume sheet metal production.
Box and pan brakes and folders we have financed range from about $9,000 for a manual brake to $135,000 for a CNC folder and shear package.
Finance the Whole Setup
A brake or folder is usually part of a larger sheet metal setup. These can all be included in the same agreement:
- Hydraulic and power squaring shears
- Back gauges and back table gauges
- One-piece and segmented fingers and tooling
- Slitters and roll formers
- Freight, rigging and installation
- Training and setup
Why Shops Upgrade Their Brake
Make Trim and Flashing In-House
Roofing and siding contractors that bend their own trim avoid supplier lead times and markups and can match any profile on the job.
Handle Thicker Material
Moving from a 14-gauge to a 10-gauge machine opens up heavier enclosures, guards and structural sheet metal work.
Save Labor With CNC
A CNC folder repeats complex bend sequences without flipping the sheet, so one operator can do work that once took two.
